Is the profession starting to feel monotonous? Like Groundhog Day?
Tap each card to keep reading.
Recycling the same discrete trial programs. Writing the same "might be escape, might be attention" FBAs. Watching your recommendations circle the insurance drain, one denial at a time.
It's not the kids. It's not the parents. It's not the people. It's not even what you do.
It's the monotony.
Have webinars felt less like education and more like reading a Wikipedia page? You walk away either not remembering what you learned, or you could teach the class yourself, because you've heard it all before.
I built something different — keep tapping, because by the end I'll show you exactly what makes it different, plus something extra I'm only sharing here.
Like you just can't crack the code on that "impulsive behavior" stuff, no matter how textbook your intervention is?
I want this truth to be clear: you're talented. You're competent. The field needs you to stay just a little longer.
And you're probably noticing a trend — the clients who need you to stay, they're changing too. If you work in public schools, you're seeing this shift the most. More and more kids with ADHD are landing on your caseload, and no one trained you for that. These clients can feel simultaneously refreshing — a break from the monotony — but also tap into your imposter syndrome.
I'm Ryan Baker-Barrett, a BCBA of more than 10 years, diagnosed with ADHD when I was 37. I'm also a parent of two boys with ADHD.
I've spent years zeroing in on the fundamental executive function skills our clients with ADHD actually need — the ones traditional, autism-built assessments were never built to measure.
So here's your solution: the Executive Function Roadmap for ADHD
It's not another in-depth, painstaking assessment like the ABLLS or the AFLS. No tea, no shade — those have their place. This isn't that.
I'll teach you how to use this tool to sharpen your goals, change your approach, and finally put a "why" behind that escape function — once you understand how differently ADHD brains are actually wired.
And that "why"? That's the same thing that's been stalling your clients' progress. Once you can see it, you can finally build a plan that moves the data instead of staring at a flat line.

Meet Ryan Baker-Barrett, MS, BCBA
ADHD Specialist & Executive Function Expert
From undiagnosed to expert advocate
Ryan is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 20 years of experience in applied behavior analysis. But his journey to becoming an ADHD specialist took an unexpected turn.
At age 37, Ryan was diagnosed with ADHD — after years of working as a BCBA and even teaching CE courses on ADHD that didn't help him recognize his own symptoms. That experience, combined with raising two sons with ADHD, transformed his entire approach to behavioral intervention.
"How would I want someone to approach me in this situation?"
This question transformed how Ryan designs interventions. Instead of focusing on compliance or "fixing" behaviors, he focuses on building the executive function skills that allow independence, self-advocacy, and genuine progress.
