I’m still in the trenches writing, but I’m excited about what this book will mean for families. If you’ve ever wished you had a shared guidebook for navigating ADHD and executive function challenges at home, that’s exactly what I’m building.

I’ve worked with teens who have ADHD long enough to recognize a pattern: the strategies for building executive function skills aren’t complicated, but the delivery usually is. Most books either talk only to parents about their kids, or only to teens about themselves. That leaves both sides feeling like they’re working from two different playbooks.
I wanted to change that.
That’s why I’m writing a book that speaks directly to both audiences—teens and their parents—inside the same chapters. Teens will find tools they can actually try right away, written in a voice that gets what it feels like to have your brain stall out in the middle of homework or lose focus halfway through cleaning your room. And right alongside that, parents will see “parent guides” woven into the chapters that explain what’s really going on, how to respond without escalating conflict, and ways to support their teen without stepping in too much.
The idea is simple: executive function skills can be taught, but they stick best when the teen and parent understand them together.
This book isn’t about theory you’ll forget in a week. It’s about practical tools:
Emergency strategies for when your teen is stuck in paralysis mode
Routines that make “starting” easier and more automatic
Conversation starters that defuse battles before they begin
Parent coaching tips that help you recognize the difference between “won’t” and “can’t”
My goal is to put both the teen and the parent on the same page, literally. When you both have the language, tools, and perspective to understand what’s happening, you move from conflict to collaboration.
I’m still in the trenches writing, but I’m excited about what this book will mean for families. If you’ve ever wished you had a shared guidebook for navigating ADHD and executive function challenges at home, that’s exactly what I’m building.
